The Macro Project

week 5

Kiwi has been one of my favorites to shoot. Got as close as I could so I could see all of the fuzz that is on the outside and the seeds inside of the kiwi.

Second post

Instead of bombarding you all with tons of shots in one blog like last week, I thought I would break it up into two.  I think I saved the best pictures for this one. As I said in my other blog, I was getting a bit down because the cemetery wasn't as great as the one I visited last week in New Haven.  Then, I stumbled along this....

This is enclosed in what appears to be plexiglass.

So real and deep

These statues were around each corner of the kneeling woman.

Truth be told, I may have nightmares about this one :/

I loved this stone nestled between the two trees.

The contrast here is perfect.

Milford Cemetery

Good evening, everyone!

This week took me to Milford's Cherry Street Cemetery.  When I first arrived I was disappointed because there weren't many statues, but I think the shoot turned out pretty good.  I got some close ups but also left some of the landscape in a few pictures. I think it's nice to see some surrounding trees.
Loved this shot. The lighting is a bit strong, but it's still one of my favorites.

Tomb

This one reminded me of a lighthouse.

Loved this piece. Father & Mother; side by side <3

This tombstone looked as if it were once vertical and was knocked down and now it has become a part of the earth.

Thought this one was poignant!

WEEK 5 MACRO PHOTOGRAPHY

Hi everyone

This week I took a stroll down the Red bridge trail in Meriden and I found quite a few things I would have missed if I wasn't looking so closely.

Religion in Color

This week I went to St. Mary's Church in downtown New Haven on Hillhouse Ave. This church was one of the most beautiful churches I have seen. I had the privilege of going inside and taking photos. I love color which is a common theme for my pictures so being up close to all the stained glass was awesome.  These are some of my favorite photos to date. Others from this day can  be seen on my fotothing page. I tried to stay away from too much editing. I found out that with the proper light and distance you don't need to do much. The light coming in through the stained glass was perfect. All I had to do was a little cropping. Enjoy
