Wow...I can't believe we're already into week three! I thought Thursday's weather would be great for getting a few more shots of some statues. I tried getting in a bit closer and cropping feet or flowers, too. Please excuse that this blog is so late...I was having technical issues, which are hopefully over!
These are great pictures. There bring the cemetery to life.
ReplyDeleteThis series is much stronger... now I'd like to call your attention to the focal length you are using... by default, the camera starts out in a wide angle mode.... Notice that in the top two at least, a wide angle setting tens to distort the "face"... if you use your zoom, then move in and fill the frame there will be a better rendering of the relative proprtion and size of each part of the face.

A thought I had... if you were to get a piece of black mat board, fome core or even an inexpensive tag board from the pharmacy and have an assistant hold it up behind the head, with one stroke you could eliminate the busy background and make the "portraits" even stronger.
I like the close up finger pointing to the cross and the foot detail...
